Internal medicine:

What is a new approach in the treatment of liver cirrhosis?

How can we help with bronchial asthma symptoms?

The measures of primary and secondary prevention with ischemic diseases
of the heart ( IBS )

Hematology and onkology:

Different approach in the treatment of malignant diseases, what this mean?

Q: What is a new approach in the treatment of liver cirrhosis?

A: Liver cirrhosis is a disease characterized by three pathological anatomical processes, and the
    fourth one appears as their consequence.

First: Hepatocyte n ecrosis, which means the death of liver cell.

Second: The creation of fibrous band which binds, sometimes regularly, sometimes chaotically, the portal areas with the central veins creating septa and that way they disorganize normal liver architecture.

Third: Nodular regeneration of liver parenchyma developed as a consequence of necrosis of a large number of hepatocytes.

Fourth: Everything above mentioned leads to the liver circulation disturbance which causes a new ischemia and necrosis, new stimulation for the nodule regeneration, etc.

Special Hospital for Internal Medicine "NOVA VITA", along with the therapeutic measures used within the conventional medicine in the treatment of cirrhosis, offers new treatment modalities with the immunotherapeutic approach.
In the course of the clinical monitoring of patients with cirrhosis of a different etiology, it was established that the immunotherapeutic approach provides excellent results in the recovery of liver cells, which significantly reflects on the clinical course and improvement of prognosis.
It is about the application of combined therapy with unspecific immunostimulators
-Immunarc, Amazon megamin, Cuban galen in patients suffering from cirrhosis.

P: How can we help with bronchial asthma symptoms?

O: Bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the respiratory passages which can be
    manifested with different intensity of symptoms starting from discrete feeling of difficult breathing
    with barely audible wheezing in the chest, to the severe suffocation that may also have a fatal
    outcome.

Asthma is a frequent disease, widely spread in all parts of the world, in all ages and in both sexes, with a growing tendency in the past decades.

From 1 to 3% of the population in our country suffers from asthma, depending on the region. Half of the patients gets sick before they turn ten, and less than 50% of the children asthmatics, will have it also when they grow up considering that it appears in the majority of cases during the puberty.

The main disturbance in asthma is an altered bronchial response which implies occasional excessive contractions of the smooth muscles of the respiratory passage walls, with intensified secretion of sub mucous glands and edema of the mucous tissue. The patients react to low concentrations of agents which cause no symptoms in healthy persons.

Factors that can trigger an asthmatic attack are:

- genetics

- respiratory infections

- exposure to antigens in early childhood (air pollution, allergens at early age in the living
  and work environment, smoking, diet, increased use of industrially processed food, sale
  and half-saturated fatty acids)

Asthma Therapy:

prophylactic - implies preventing the appearance of attack, and includes immune-therapy and antimediators (cromolins and antihistaminics)..

symptomatic - using bronchodilators (beta adrenergics, xanthine and anticholinergics) and anti-inflammatory drugs (glucocorticoids).

general measures which include protection of respiratory tract from infection, education of patient, psychotherapy, environment free of air pollution and great temperature and barometric fluctuations.

The specialized hospital for internal medicine "NOVA VITA" used, aside form the standard therapy in treatment of asthma also the preparations Immunarc, Kubanski galen i Bronhovit which show a significant anti-inflammatory activity along with the bronchodilatory and mucolytic activity significant for mitigating the difficulties.

P: The measures of primary and secondary prevention with ischemic diseases
    of the heart ( IBS )

O: The IBS incidence in developed countries is 2, 5-3/1000. These diseases represent the leading
     cause of mortality and make 57 % of the total mortality, with a tendency of growth.

There is a long list today of well known risk factors related to the increased risk from IBS. According to preventive medical importance these risks are divided into four groups, of which three are preventable, and the fourth includes significant, but non-preventable risk factors.

1. Tobacco smoking, raised LDL cholesterol, excess of saturated fatty acids in the diet,
    HTA, LK hypertrophy;

2. Diabetes mellitus, physical inactivity, lowered HDL, raised triglycerides, obesity,
    menopause;

3. Psychosocial risk factors, raised Lp (1). (a), homocysteine, oxidative stress and alcohol;

4. Age, male sex, positive family anamnesis;

Therapy:

At the specialized hospital for Internal Medicine "NOVA VITA", beside conducting the measures of primary and secondary prevention (counseling on hygienic and diet life regime), standard cardiac therapy (antiaggregation and other specific cardiac therapy) treatment is also conducted with preparations Immunarc, Amazon megamin and Hercovit that have a strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and vascular protective activity.

P: Different approach in the treatment of malignant diseases, what this mean?

O:Tumor is a group of cells that are splitting in an uncontrolled way. Tumor cells are parasites
    which take away the nourishment, oxygen, minerals and vitamins of the healthy cells in our
    body. They disable healthy cells in the body from functioning. For their fast growth, they are
    spreading easily on the surrounding cells or moving through body liquids in the remote organs
    and that way they are creating new types of neoplasm and metastases. In that case, we can
    talk about extensive malignant disease.

Tumors can extend to the vital organs, like liver, lungs, brain and bones. They cause imbalance in the healthy cell function and weaken the organism in general.

The tumors are most frequently classified in benign and malignant types.

There are between 500 and 1000 malignant cells in the healthy organism. Our natural immune mechanism eliminates these cells. A pathological mutation in the DNA, which can occur at the cell level, creates the imbalance that can provoke tumor.

The exposure to the chemical substances, irradiation, as well as genetic predisposition may contribute to the progression of malignant disease.

Doctors use the term stage to indicate the rate of tumor's progression and its size.

Different approach: Our hospital is the only private institution in this area that offers a hospital treatment to the oncologic patients. In addition to the standard medical chemotherapy and radiotherapy, our clinic is the only one which applies the therapy of non-specific immuno stimulators. The synergetic effect of this approach led us to better results in the treatment of malignant diseases. The team of our experts exchanges experiences with the experts from all over the world. We cooperate with the physicians from Italy, Germany and France.
